When trying to open cdr file on Corel Draw, the following message appears: Product installation unsuccessful, please reinstall (Error 38).Anyone else having this issue? My PC has two account: one with admin rights and another is standard account. Corel Draw X3 runs fine on admin account, but when it is started from standard account (without admin right), it shows the following error. Anybody could help me plz i'm having trouble with installing corel draw after i uninstall the program the installation wizard window say that 'the wizard was interrupted before CorelDraw graphic suite x3 could be compeletely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time,please run setup again. Click finish to exit the wizard.' I have tried repairing the installation through add/Remove programs with no success, one one computer tried uninstalling then reinstalling but when installing it comes up with 'Invalid Key' when trying to reinstall, which is weird because it worked before and is legit. The link noted on the previous message now includes how to install CorelDraw X3 on a Win 10 system using the MSI files on your install CD. But this is not a problem with the install. I had several that failed with fills that I had scanned in. Have you checked to see if Corel have released any patches for Draw x6? They might fix your.

Configuration of my PC: i7, 16GB with Win 7. There are Java and NetFrameWork installed.
I tried installing the X5 and had the same problem.

I have a full version of the X5 graphics suit and now I would like to install it on my notebook. However, I have only 3 GB hard disk space left, so I wanted to install X5 without the extra content. But I cannont find an option in the installer where I can switch the extra content off. It seems that it always wants to install the 6GB extra content. Required hard disk states >5GB, even when I deselect everything. Hence, I cannot continue the installer.
How can I get a minimal installation of the X5?

what to copy from my home installation of Coreldraw 12 so I can put it on the installation I use at work. I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.

I was facing problems with X5 soon after installing it, it actually doesn't installs properly. Somehow i have to End Process of installation and though find X5 in my Start menu of Windows XP SP2. Well the actual problem started when i recently tried to publish PDF for one of my client's brochure of 17 pages, X5 closes all of a sudden and i have to restart the whole process. At times it creates a PDF which then has errors and Acrobat Reader don't read it.At times X5 even gives Error while saving files. Then have to click Save till it actually saves the file.I uninstalled X5 thinking, there could be some corrupted files and re-installed, but all in vain..

I recently installed Win7. I then downloaded the trial version of X5 from Corel's site and tried to install it. The splash screen I get has no caption on the 'install' and 'cancel' buttons. When I press the 'install' button I get nothing, it goes nowhere. When I press the 'cancel' button it cancels, moves to a cance screen from where I can only exit by clicking the top right close icon.

Why why why, doesn´t it install over X4? Is there anyway that i could install it? My previous version was CDGS 12 and Embroidery + KPT installed and they worked well.
X4 seems to be much better than 12 at first test...

I must have tried installing CorelDRAW X5 a dozen times on Windows ultimate X64; but it wouldn't. I always get an 'incomplete installation'. At 58% and 62%, I get an 'error 1721' message saying that there is a problem with the Windows installer package and it couldn't 'register' or 'unregister'.

My first post, but long time user of Corel starting V12
Current: corel Draw Graphics Suite X5 SP2OS Vista 64 bit SP2 one user. with admin privileges Updated X4 to X5 in May 2010 and then upgraded to SP2 when released
Occasional crash and slow to open all services. I use Corel every day, cannot live without it.Runs days with many files created with no restart.Then during day of 20/May/2011 A new file saved could not be opened. ( silent no warning ),
All Old files Open OK, templates open OKany new file made since cannot be opened. No Known install or updates on the day or days prior to issue.Ran repair. Issue continued unchanged.Eventually restated with F8. But new files again not opening.Updated user default settings no change with issue.I did notice long delay in saving new file longer than normal.
Restarted Corel Draw, which now Hangs on stat up ( Loading users settings stage )Restarted machine same problemUninstalled X5, Restarted, Re installed X5 Install OK. Open Corel Draw or Paint, both hang on start up as aboveUpdated with SP2 same hang on start up. The only working X5 items BitSteam font navigator and CONNECTGrouped all fonts with bitstream, set with minimal basic fonts installed. Restarted again hangs same on start up
Repeated Removal, Checked Regedit all entries gone for X5 ( previous X4 Removed but some entries exist in registry for X4 )Deleted all CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 folders in programs and User app folderRestarted and reinstalled. Again hang on start upTested in Safe mode again hang on start up.No other issues machine running well, No Registry errors (Uniblue), Use Kaspersky PURE for virus and security

I just got a new system installed corel draw fresh, loaded all my gms's , imported workspace , great all work as before all my menus are nice and active...,
However my custom gradients have disappeared..., it took me a while to set up certain gradients and I removed lots of the useless default ones that were there preset in the previously installed corel draw.
I accessed my old hard drive and found the gradient preset file however when I copied and replaced with the old gradient file the gradient data is not there....

is there another location where my old gradients would be saved?

After installing windows upgrades on win 7 (64-bit) my Corel X6 products have gone mad.When i try to open Draw or Paint the program loads to the splash screen and locks.the splash screen is black and the program does not respond anymore.I tried to uninstall the X6 Graphics suite but the uninstall screen is Black as well..I tried to uninstall every windows update to the date the problem started, but no luck.I have too much info on my computer to do a whole install of all programs.

I removed Font Navigator before updating to version 16.4 because it didn't work well you know. But now I want to install it again.My system is 64 bit.
What if I install it from CD, because on CD there is the older not fixed version of FontNav and I don't know what to do next.How can I update it after installing it or I have to remove all Corel programs, reinstall them and update to 16.4?

I downloaded X6 patch #1 with no problem, but then I downloaded patch #3 and when I press Continue to install I get a notice: An Internet connection required. connect to the Internet and try again... But I AM connected to the Internet! I have no options how to proceed.

Asus motherboard, i7, 930. 24 gig Kingston HyperX ram. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. 5 SATA hard drives: 3 are WD 7200s; Driive C is a Plextor SSD and Drive G (where LR and Photoshop are installed), is an Intel SSD.
I've had LR 3 and 4 and 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. I have several hard drives. All the LR programs are installed on my G drive.
This time when I installed the update to 4.4, it did install on the G drive, but instead of creating a folder in Program Files, all the files, including the executables, simply installed in a long long row under Program Files and under the folders for the previous versions of LR. It did indeed install 4.4, but it's a mess and I can't figure out why there was no folder created.
When going into LR my copyright is gone and all the various styles of copyright I'd created in the Watermarks folder are unavailable. I also have 2 Nik Filters and 2 Topaz filters - they too are unavailable from the upgrade to 4.4. I also had a plugin for Zenfolio which is also missing and I can't find any plugin folder. Where is the plugin folder supposed to be?
It has never been clear to me which folders are supposed to reside on the same disk as the main LR program and which folders can be kept on another drive. Perhaps this is part of why I lost so much information.
I do have backups and I've been able to retrieve a lot - but I would like to be able to have the correct folders in the correct directories and drives. For example, when I updated to the new camera raw and dng, it was installed on my drive C, as it usually is. But the LR 4.4 files installed in a big list, although fortunately on the correct drive. And I have to reset all my settings, all my watermarks, my plugins and my filters.
Why did this happen and what can I do to repair it properly both for the best functioning of LR 4.4 and to not have this repeat itself with the next upgrade.
